Path
Path Housing has been quietly supporting people experiencing homelessness in Plymouth for 30 years, but its low profile has limited community engagement, awareness of its vital work, and fundraising opportunities. In 2025, the organisation embarked on a transformative rebrand to raise its visibility and establish a trusted, high-profile presence in the city.
Uncovering the
path to a new brand
Path commissioned Just Enough Brave to create a visible, trusted, and engaging brand. We began with in-depth discovery, interviewing partners, staff, and service users to understand how Path was perceived and what made the organisation unique. These insights informed a series of collaborative workshops, bringing the team together to define their vision, purpose, and values. The sessions were energising and inclusive, giving the team ownership of the brand direction from the very start.
We’ve loved working with the teams at Just Enough Brave and Altitude Design. With support from their brilliant initiative, The Good Business Fund, we’ve been able to bring our new brand and website to life. We couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out. Huge thanks to everyone involved!
Bridging the gap between strategy and design
Values work became central to the project. Through interactive exercises, we distilled Path’s character into clear, actionable statements that now guide behaviour and communications with clients and the wider community. Themes of compassion, reliability, and inclusivity emerged as defining qualities, providing a strong foundation to grow the Path brand.
With this clarity, we moved to the creative stage. The Path name carried recognition and trust, so it was retained, while the visual identity was completely reimagined. The new identity reflects the journey from homelessness, showing that while the path may not always be smooth, Path ensures a positive outcome. Striking a balance between professionalism and warmth, the updated brand retains its heritage purple with a vibrant twist, complemented by distinctive typography, friendly illustrative assets, and real-life photography. The comprehensive toolkit ensures consistency across digital and print channels, from social media campaigns to outreach materials.
A new era for Path
More than a cosmetic update, the workshops and values process created shared ownership across the team, ensuring the new identity feels authentic and lived day-to-day. Since launch, Path has strengthened its presence in the community and attracted new revenue streams, enabling the organisation to expand services and continue making a tangible impact on the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
