There are many things Just Enough Brave founding director David Smith enjoys.
Brand creation? Absolutely.
Creative campaigns? Of course.
Running 13.1 miles around Plymouth? Not even slightly!
So when the opportunity arose to sponsor his son, Ciaran Smith, in the Plymouth Half Marathon, David was delighted to support from the sidelines, especially somewhere near coffee and seating.
Ciaran is taking on the challenge to raise funds for Path Housing, a charity close to his heart and one with a strong connection to the Brave team. In 2025, Just Enough Brave supported Path Housing through its charitable initiative, the Good Business Fund, helping reinvent and refresh the charity’s brand to better tell its story and amplify its impact.
This time, the support comes in the form of sponsorship, with Brave backing Ciaran’s efforts to raise £250 for Path Housing through the half marathon challenge.
“Ciaran’s commitment to supporting good causes has been amazing to watch,” said David Smith. “Mainly because I’ve been watching from a safe distance while he does all the exhausting bits.”
The Plymouth Half Marathon is just one stop in a packed year of fundraising adventures for Ciaran. He is also preparing to cycle the entire LĂ´n Las Cymru – a remarkable 260 mile route stretching the length of Wales, in support of Multiple Sclerosis Society UK, for which he has already raised more than ÂŁ1,000.
At Just Enough Brave, supporting people who create positive change is all part of the business’s purpose, especially when they happen to share the director’s surname. Everyone at Brave wishes Ciaran the very best of luck and looks forward to cheering him on enthusiastically from a completely stationary position.
