As you may remember, back in the Summer of last year we launched The Good Business Fund with our friends at Altitude Design. It was a fund of up to £15,000 worth of free creative and digital consultancy time that we awarded to three worthy organisations.
What happened next was that we were inundated with applications that we distilled down to three winners which we announced at the end of 2023. Fast forward to today and we’ve been progressing work with these organisations over the last few months.
First up was Memory Matters, the Plymouth-based CIC that empowers people who live with Memory Loss and Dementia. You’ll be pleased to know that the work is now complete following a branding and visual language refresh which will be followed through onto the website very soon. It also included work we completed for their Moments Café which, once installed, will give the site that all-important ‘café culture’ look and feel.
Next up we had Sal’s Shoes founded by Camilla Bowry (pretty sure she’s our only client with an OBE). Her organisation works on the principle that children tend to outgrow their shoes before they outwear them and so Sal’s Shoes finds new feet for perfectly good footwear.
In 9 years, they have found new feet for over 5 million pairs of pre-loved children’s shoes in 61 countries around the world!
We’re in the final throws of creating a soon to be launched website that refreshes and better showcases the work they do.
Last up we have Sea Changers who are a UK-based marine conservation charity, who source and distribute grants to marine charities and non-profits for conservation and research projects. They have given over £400,000 in grants and we’re pretty sure Sea Changers founders are our only clients with an OBE!
After they were announced as a winner of our Good Business Fund we’ve been making some much-needed updates to their website that will launch soon. We’ve also created a presentation deck that Sea Changers can use to sell the benefits of being a corporate sponsor with the organisation.
Overall, the Good Business Fund has delivered a significant level of support for three organisations that may not have found the funds to commission an agency to create work for them. We’ve helped them elevate their various organisation’s on to a new level, allowing them to thrive and compete
That’s what the Good Business Fund has been able to deliver and that’s why we’ll be launching our 24/25 fund with full vigour later this year… watch this space, maybe you or someone you know may wish to enter their organisation.
