The Challenge

Le Vignoble is an independent wine lounge and merchant based at the historic Royal William Yard in Plymouth. All things from the vine is their passion and they offer over 250 different wines, champagnes and liqueurs from all over the world. At Le Vignoble a unique opportunity exists to try a variety of wines from one of their four wine serving systems, as well as the chance to participate in one of their enlightening wine tasting and education sessions. After working with Yannick Loue – the Managing Director, at the very early stages of his business idea Dave and his creative team were asked to create an identity that captured the ventures unique offer.

I hired Dave and his team to create my brand identity. After several meetings and talking about my concept which was very new to him. The team presented back a choice of identities which looked like he had been reading my mind. Everybody asks me if I own a chain, the effect is outstanding.

The Solution

Working from Le Vignoble’s detailed brief we created a refined identity and visual language that took took heavy influence from vintage wine labels. Partnering traditional fonts with rich colours and a hidden heart within the wine glass achieved a memorable identity that sits perfectly amongst the elegant setting of the Royal William Yard. Our team then rolled out the identity through to a number of brand touch-points.

The Results

Le Vignoble launched onto the vibrant Plymouth food and drink scene to plenty of critical acclaim. They have gone on to win countless awards. The business continues to thrive and there are plans afoot to open another branch shortly. We take great satisfaction in raising a glass to Yannick’s continued success!
